Privacy Policy

Effective 12 August 2026 · Covers the game Cibola. The company-wide policy is at /privacy.

The short version. Cibola has no accounts, no servers, and no analytics of ours that can identify you. Your progress is saved on your own device and we cannot read it.

The game does show advertising, served by Google AdMob, and it offers in-app purchases handled entirely by Apple. Those are the only two places data leaves your device. Buying Remove Ads ends the first of them permanently.

1. What we collect

Nothing that identifies you. We do not ask for a name, an email address, a phone number, or a date of birth. Cibola has no sign up, no login, and no user accounts of any kind.

The game records how it is played — which level you started, whether you won it, how many moves you used, which objective you fell short on, and whether you took a continue. Apple calls this Product Interaction, and it is not linked to your identity. We use it to work out which levels are too hard. It contains no names, no device identifiers, and no free text you could type into.

2. Where your saved game lives

On your device, in the app's own storage. Stars, relics, gold, tools, lives and the level you are on are written to a single file that never leaves the phone. We have no copy and no way to retrieve it. Deleting the app deletes it.

If you have iCloud Backup switched on, Apple may include that file in your device backup. That is between you and Apple, under Apple's privacy policy.

3. Advertising

Adverts are served by Google AdMob. To do that, AdMob collects device and advertising identifiers, coarse location inferred from your IP address, and information about the adverts you were shown. We never see who you are; AdMob is the party processing that data, under Google's privacy policy.

You are asked first. Before any advert loads, the game presents Google's consent form where the law requires one (the EEA, the UK and Switzerland), and iOS asks you separately whether Cibola may track you across other companies' apps. Say no to that prompt and no tracking identifier is shared. You can change your mind at any time in Settings › Privacy & Security › Tracking.

Rewarded videos — the ones that pay you gold or lives — are never forced. You choose to watch one or you do not.

4. Purchases

Every purchase in Cibola goes through Apple. We never see your card, your billing address, or your Apple Account. Apple tells us only that a purchase completed, so the game can hand over what you bought. Refunds are Apple's to give, at reportaproblem.apple.com.

5. Game Center

Optional. If you sign in, Apple submits your star total to a leaderboard and records achievements against your Game Center profile. That is Apple's service under Apple's privacy policy; we receive nothing beyond whether you are signed in. Declining costs you nothing but the leaderboard.

6. Children

Cibola is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect anything from them. The game is rated for a general audience but contains advertising and in-app purchases, which parents may want to restrict with Screen Time.

7. Your rights

Because we hold nothing that identifies you, there is nothing for us to look up, export, correct or delete on request. To remove everything Cibola has stored, delete the app. To stop advertising identifiers being shared, refuse the tracking prompt or buy Remove Ads.

8. Changes

If this policy changes materially we will update the date at the top of this page and note the change in the app's release notes.

9. Contact
